On One side there is a coat of arms/emblem in the center which contains 3 stars across the top, a sun burst in the center, a bird w/outstretched wings in left corner and in the right corner is what looks like a lion on its hind legs. The words ‘Republika ng Pilipinas’ are written above this emblem and again in a ribbon like banner in very fine print underneath the emblem. Lastly, the Year ’1970′ is printed across the bottom.
On the Other side: A profile view of a man’s head is noted in the center. To the right of him, the name ‘Francisco Baltasar’ is written in fine print. Below this name there’s a large ’10′. Lastly, across the top, above the bust, the words ‘Sampung Sentimos’ are printed all in caps.
It is the size of a dime. The color is like that of an old brown/darkened penny.
I’ve searched multiple sites from the web Search, and searched in ‘all categories’ on ‘worldwide’ Ebay. So far I found similar coins (a silver one, wrong color) but no drk brown ones w/the yr 1970.
I am trying to figure out a type of bird around my house. medium sized with long tail and beautiful songs?

The bird is medium and appears to be mostly gray but when it flies it has white strips on its tail and wings. It spends most of the day going from my tv antenna to the lightning rod on my barn to a the top of my shrubs and my small trees and is always singing. It seems to have so many different songs and they are all beautiful. It just sings to me all day. I just love that bird, but I am having trouble figuring out what it is. I will keep looking but maybe you can help or know of a web site that would make it easier. I live in the country but more fields than woods. The closest woods it about 300 yards away. I have lots and lots of flowers and some small trees like plum and cherry. After I figure out what kind of bird it is, then I want to know how to keep it around. Thank you very much..
I think I figured it out. I believe it is a Northern Mocking Bird. Actually, the way it is described, it just has to be. I have read a lot of interesting information on it including things I can do to keep it happy at my place and maybe attract others. You can still respond with an answer or maybe a thought that might help with keeping it around. Thanks
I just saw a large, red headed FL bird with a grey body. What is it?

I live in Tampa, Florida near a lake and just saw four huge (over 3ft tall) grey birds with vibrant red heads. Each were in pairs of two about 1 mile apart from one another.
I couldn’t identify them on any of the local wildlife sites and was wondering what they are.
Recently, I’ve seen several of them, always in pairs. When I drove by them today (it was a very narrow street), one opened his wings and his head was about level with my 4-Runner’s window. They have long legs, an egret-ish body, and a straight beak. The body has varying shades of grey and near the top of their red heads, there is a tuft of feathers that sticks out like a cowlick.
Any ideas?
