Wildlife action on Bird Island, of the north end of the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia, on September 30th 2010 . It is getting busy with wildlife once again on Bird Island as spring sets in properly. The gentoo penguins are swarming up the beach to the colony where they are building nests ready to breed. A few fur seals spend their time play fighting whilst other penguins head to sea through rough waves for a feed. On top of the island the Wandering Albatross chicks are look dishevelled as they start to moult thier chick down for adult feathers, and the beautiful Grey-headed albatross are billing and displaying at thier chosen nest sites.
